The art of Linda Groen (1972) guides
the spectator to a visionary world of poetic or imaginary realism, by times
slightly erotic, by times revealing a sense of humour. Using bright colours
and strong compositions, Groen creates a magical realm in which dream and
reality have blended smoothly. Butterfly and poppy ladies, legendary
creatures, cats, cows and crystal balls, they all play a part in this
contemporary symbolism. Since 1995, a year before her
graduation, Linda Groen exhibits her paintings in art galleries and during
art projects both in the Netherlands as well as abroad. Paintings were
purchased for private collections in the Netherlands, Germany, France,
England, Denmark, Russia and the United States of America. |
